Christopher leads the Diagnostic and Consultant Avian Pathology Group at Animal and Plant Health Agency Lasswade, which delivers scanning surveillance for poultry and gamebird diseases in Great Britain. He integrates his expertise in pathology with microbiology and bioinformatics collaborators to detect new and re-emerging threats to poultry, gamebirds, and small flocks. Christopher is a Diplomate of the Royal College of Pathologists and holds a PhD in broiler nutrition and metabolomics from the University of Reading. A BVPA member since 2013, he contributed to the gamebird Mycoplasma project, with results published in the Veterinary Record. He enjoys sharing his unique pathological perspective on diagnostics and promoting research into infectious diseases.
